The Ness-Gilon’s solution architecture and technological infrastructure for a comprehensive BI solution is designed to be used by all types of users in the organization with special emphasis and consideration to the following qualifications:
Performance – the selected technological infrastructure allows information loading and retrieval in all its levels – summary information and detailed information quickly and efficiently. The information will be divided into “hot” information and “cold” information (in terms of the required availability). A different backup regiment will be activated for each type of information.
Scalability – merger & acquisition processes are dictating a significant scalability of the BI systems. The selected technological environment will allow expansion and growth both in data and models volumes as well as in providing an answer to a growing number of users.

A comprehensive BI solution
The solution offered by Ness-Gilon will be customized and validated to the organization’s requirements. Following is a general description of the main solution components:
Data model – The model will be developed systematically, in a comprehensive view of all the business subjects, which will be taken from the rules and questions deriving from the business processes which presently exist in the organization.
ETL plans (Extract Transform Load) – Loading into the Data Warehouse, based on a structured data model and relevant entities, their interconnections and all relevant information details, in a unified integrative way, between the various source systems.
Data Quality Assurance – Identify and alert on problems in the ETL processes, as close as possible to their occurrence by an independent mechanism, in order to enable rapid handling of the problem, thus preventing damage.
d. Referential integrity management – Completion of the dimensions with unknown values’ skeletons according to a pre-defined logic.
Improved BI performance – An automatic mechanism for ongoing maintenance of tables’ performance such as: removing indexes before loading, building indexes and performing statistical tests after loadings (according to the areas that were loaded and the depth of the loading) and more.
Process quality assurance – Control over ETL processes during the run and automatic re-initiation of run to ensure ETL processes quality assurance.
Reports and data investigation infrastructure – Development of business reports over the DWH with full understanding of customer requirements, business connections between the entities and strictness on development standards that will provide a user friendly environment.
Application for feeding and updating data – A web application which is used as an interface to feeding and updating information into the system’s table in an easy and intuitive way.
